Sterling Silver Cowrie Shell Necklace

This sterling cowrie shell is created by the process of casting.  Casting, is a process by which the cowrie shell is made into a  mold and then filled with molten silver. The mold and heated metal inside the mold are thrown into cold water, causing the mold to dissipate and leave behind the piece of jewelry.
